I spent 9 weeks here, as I went to to the Muay Thai boot camp nearby. I was looking for a nice place at the beach in walking distance and found the best here is in the neigbourhood. The staff is great, always very friendly and helpful and fun! We had little chats on almost daily basis. I absolutely cannot relate to all the comments about unfriendly staff!!!!
Yes, there were sanitary issues – quite often, but they always helped asap. it is a small village on an island in Thailand, please do not have expectations that everything works 100%, usually the problems were everywhere in the area not just the hotel (electricity out, no water etc.) Anyway, who needs a hot shower when it is already 35 degrees 24/7???
I don’t understand all the bad reviews here! You get great value for the price, but if you expect perfect, you need to go somewhere else and pay at least double or a lot more!
What you do get here is tranquillity, little tourism, nature and the most beautiful sunsets.
I loved the place, it was my home for 2 months and I would always go back!

Hotel highlights Great view · Romantic · Quiet · Great value
Rooms I stayed in different rooms as I extended my stay 3 times on short notice and therefor had to change the rooms. The rooms aren’t perfect, but all of them were very clean and very comfortable. The beds were great and I slept very well there.
Nearby activities fit koh / lions heart fitness camp Muay Thai beachbar Cape Away with DJ and fire show little shops for drinks, snacks, fruit etc. pharmacy, massage salons
Safety super safe 24/7 I only met friendly animals at night (dogs, pigs and waterbuffalos) and occasionally other (nice) humans as well
Walkability I loved talking walks there, it is such a peaceful place.
Food & drinks I booked full board with the boot camp and got my meals at beachbar fitkoh (healthy food) next door But I always enjoyed a fresh mango or coconut shake or a glass of white wine from the hotel bar when I was suntanning at the beach
Noteworthy details It is quite far away from the action, which is exactly what I was looking for! But Samui is a little island and you can get anywhere with a bike (rentals everywhere) or taxi
